Corey Nelson has worked as a realtor with Sotheby’s International Realty in Los Angeles, California, since 2004. Experienced in numerous areas of residential real estate sales and leasing, he focuses on client satisfaction and aims to deliver concierge service. In order to stay current in his field, Corey Nelson maintains memberships with industry organizations such as the National Association of REALTORS and the California Association of Realtors.

The California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.) functions as a professional trade association for real estate professionals operating throughout the state. The organization seeks to enhance the professional standing of its membership through a number of unique programs and events, including Realtor Safety Month.

Every September, C.A.R. joins the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) in promoting the various ways in which real estate professionals can maintain their safety while on the job, particularly through the development of a personal safety code. Realtors should be particularly vigilant when it comes to welcoming individuals into an open house or meeting with a client for the first time. Safety protocol should also account for potential dangers posed by online client interactions, such as identity theft. Although Realtor Safety Month occurs annually in September, California real estate professionals can visit www.car.org and review a number of articles and webinars addressing different aspects of realtor safety.
